The Love that is Promised

I see you.

You, who long for a love
that does not waver,
that does not leave,
that does not turn cold in the night.

You, who have waited,
who have wandered through empty days,
who have held your own heart in shaking hands
and wondered if it will ever be held by another.

You, who have given love so freely,
only to watch it slip through your fingers,
only to hear promises
that were never meant to be kept.

I see you.

And I know the ache in your chest,
the weight in your bones,
the whisper that says,
"Maybe I am meant to be alone."

No.
You were never meant to be alone.

When you were shaped,
He did not weave solitude into your soul.
He did not carve your heart to be untouched,
unheld,
unmet.

You were made to love.
And to be loved.

But I also made love
to be worth waiting for.

Not the fleeting love,
not the love that falters when the storm comes,
not the love that is only love
when it is easy.

But the love that stays.
The love that chooses,
day after day,
to stand,
to hold,
to build something unshakable.

I know the waiting feels endless.
I know the loneliness feels unbearable.
I know you wonder
if you have been forgotten.

But listen,

If love has not yet found you,
it is not because you are unworthy.
It is not because you are unseen.
It is because God is still weaving the story
that will bring you home to it.

And when it comes,
you will understand why you waited.

Not because love arrived in perfection,
but because it arrived in truth.
Not because it filled every empty space,
but because it stood beside you,
without fear,
without doubt,
without the need to be anything
but what it was meant to be.

Hold on.
Love is coming.
And when it does,
it will stay.
